Do you know the answers?

4 questions most hotels cannot answer

Replying is not the hard part. The hard part is seeing what has been left unanswered when the reviews sit on a portal each — and working out why the score is moving, without reading through half a year.

1

Do we have reviews we have not replied to?

2

Is the guests' score below our own trend?

3

What are the guests talking about — and which topics drag us down?

4

Where is the gap to our competitors widest, category by category?

This is what you see

Every portal in one place — score, replies and what the guests talk about

At Silo Stay: 412 reviews from five portals averaging 8.7 — and Tripadvisor at 7.4, dragging it down. The table shows each portal with score, count and how many have been replied to, as in the module.

Reviews SiloStay · demo data
  • Booking.com 9.0 140 · 134 replied
  • Google 8.8 115 · 109 replied
  • Tripadvisor 7.4 74 · 52 replied
  • Trustpilot 8.6 49 · 49 replied
  • Expedia 8.5 34 · 21 replied
Illustration with demo data (SiloStay). The real module shows your own figures.
  • ✓Every portal in one place — each review with portal, date, score and text — and the full history from day one
  • ✓Handled and replied — two different things: someone has taken a position, and a public reply exists
  • ✓What the guests talk about — category by category — which topics are praised, and which drag you down
  • ✓The competitors alongside — score, trend and category against up to five competitors
  • ✓Templates and translation — reply templates ready to use, and the AI translates the review for you
How it works

From data to decision

No manual entry and no spreadsheets — the module builds on the data the hotel already has.

1

Connect the hotel

An administrator at your hotel finds the hotel and connects it. One step — and the older reviews come along.

2

See today's unanswered

The list shows what is missing a reply. Filter by negative, portal or period.

3

Reply and mark

Use a template, let the AI translate, write the reply on the portal and mark the review handled.

Where the answer is

The reviews show what the guests thought — the modules show why

The reviews tell you what the guests thought. Why they came — and whether they come back — lives in the modules that read the bookings.

Questions and answers

What hotels ask us

Where do the reviews come from?
From the portals via our data provider — e.g. Google and Booking.com. The sources are connected once in the setup.
Are we notified of negative reviews?
Yes — push notification and/or e-mail to the users you choose, with a link straight to the review.
Can we compare ourselves with the competitors?
Yes, with Plus (up to 2 competitors) or Pro (up to 5). You choose the competitors yourselves on the Competitors tab and can swap them. The tab shows your hotel and the competitors side by side for the selected period: score, number of reviews, ranking per portal, the trend over the last 6 months and category by category. On Basis the tab is locked and points to an upgrade.
What do we need to do to get started?
One thing: an administrator at your hotel finds the hotel on the module's first screen and connects it — this is done once. After that we fetch the reviews from the portals; the first ones usually appear within a few hours, and the figures are complete within a day. The older reviews come along too, so the module has value from day one. If you cannot find the hotel, support will help.
What does the NPS tab require?
That the hotel has Loopon and sends post-stay surveys to its guests. An administrator connects once on the NPS tab with the hotel's client id and secret key from the Loopon account (under API/integrations); the key is stored encrypted. Without Loopon the tab only shows the connection card — the module's other tabs work fully without it.
What is the difference between handled and replied?
Handled means someone at your hotel has taken a position on the review and clicked "✓ Handled" in IO Planner. Replied means a public reply from the hotel exists on the portal. They are not the same: a review can be handled without a reply, or replied to without being marked. The overview shows both figures, and the list can be filtered on each. The reply itself is written on the portal — IO Planner provides the template, the translation and the overview, but does not post the reply, and the AI translates the review without writing the reply.
